We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor to join our Primary or Secondary Schools in Blackburn and also ensure our school facilities are managed effectively and safely.
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school's facilities, ensuring that all areas are maintained to a high standard. The role includes overseeing maintenance, health and safety compliance, and liaising with staff, contractors, and suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:
- Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of school buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety policies, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Team Supervision: Manage and supervise site maintenance staff and any external contractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Emergency Response: Act as the primary contact for any emergency situations, including security and safety incidents.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Plan and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs, including managing service contracts and scheduling works.
- Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, health and safety inspections, and inventory of supplies. Provide regular reports to the school's management team.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and maintenance practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and external contractors.
- Basic IT skills for managing records and reports.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
