Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet the highest standards.
- Manage and coordinate all necessary resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Regularly report project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor and train project teams to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Handle any unforeseen issues or challenges that arise during construction and find effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all local building codes and regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in institutional construction, with a focus on new build projects.
- Proven experience managing projects in the range of $20M +
- Pre-eng background
- Strong preference given to candidates with previous experience in school development projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
