Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team for an exciting motorway project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations on the construction site, ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Conduct site surveys, setting out, and levelling activities using appropriate equipment.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Resolve any technical issues that arise on-site, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the project plan, contract documents, and local regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including site diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
- Liaise with the design team to ensure the implementation of design changes and modifications as required.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Have worked on a Motorways/ Major highways project previously
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software (e.g., Total Station, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
- Professional certification or membership in a recognised engineering body is a plus.
