Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day engineering operations on site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, HS2 standards, and contractual requirements.
- Provide accurate setting out and surveying using the latest technology.
- Manage and monitor the quality of work on site to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with construction managers, project engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate work and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain detailed site records, including daily diaries, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Liaise with the design and planning teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of drawings and specifications.
- Support in the implementation of value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience working as a Site Engineer on large-scale infrastructure or rail projects.
- Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying, and construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with modern construction technology and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in CAD software, GPS, and other engineering tools.
- Valid CSCS card (essential).
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to safe working practices.
