Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of customer service
- Participate in merchandising and promotional activities
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times
- Keep showroom, warehouse, and front counter clear from clutter
- Utilize front counter computer to invoice sales and look up information as necessary
- Perform daily cash procedures; handle cash/debit/credit transactions and close cash at the end of each day
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
- Un-pack, price, display, and merchandise products in the showroom
- Promoting all in-store demonstrations and events
- Maintain cleanliness of showroom; dust and tidy displays and front counter area
- Maintain up-to-date retail and commercial catalogues and price lists at the front desk
- Count inventory as necessary
- Participate in product knowledge sessions and ensure that all product knowledge is current
- Contribute to a healthy and safe workplace
- Assist with shipping-receiving tasks when necessary
- Carry out any other tasks related to the position.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations
- Functions well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Retail sales experience; Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Excel, Word, Outlook; Extensive customer service experience; preferably in a similar environment
