The Settlement Operations Specialist is tasked with overseeing daily settlement activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and promptly, and upholding regulatory and organizational standards.
Main Duties:
- Transaction Settlement: Execute daily settlement procedures across multiple payment platforms, ensuring precision and adherence to compliance standards.
- Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of transactions, detect inconsistencies, and address any issues swiftly.
- Reporting: Generate and present comprehensive settlement reports, including daily transaction summaries and reconciliation outcomes.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of settlement operations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all settlement operations comply with internal policies, industry norms, and regulatory mandates.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulatory authorities, to resolve settlement-related matters.
- System Oversight: Efficiently use and manage settlement systems and tools, suggesting improvements as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in settlement operations, transaction processing, or similar roles within the financial services sector.
- Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with settlement systems.
- Attributes: Capability to work under pressure, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
