The chosen candidate will need to be punctual, hard working and have the commitment and willingness to learn. The first 12 months consist of predominately job shadowing and assisting senior techs while working towards certification.
Preference will be given to candidates with mechanical or electrical ability. Ability to read blueprints/schematics also an asset.
Advantages
-Predominate Monday to Friday schedule - some weekend work as needed
-Hourly wages starting at $21/hour (first salary review/increase at 3 months with opportunities for additional increase in first year based on performance and speed of learning)

Responsibilities
-Perform and/or assist with set up, installations, repairs, maintenance, calibrations and certifications of industrial and commercial weighing systems
-Troubleshoot and analyze industry related equipment and make repairs as required
-Able to communicate effectively with customers and supply technical assistance both in person and over the phone
- Write neat and accurate service reports and calibrations certificates
- Attend company training as requested
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain class 3 and air brakes (class 3/air brake testing costs covered by the employer)
- Ability to travel within Canada for up to a week as needed
-Must be able to work in many different indoor and outdoor environments and may be exposed to dust, dirt and fumes as varies from site to site and be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Must be physically able to lift and carry 40-50lbs hand weights
- Have a good understanding of the English language, written and oral (communicating with
customers is a must)
- Must be organized, efficient and detail orientation
- Must be committed to learning
- Candidate must be able to pass a background check and drug and alcohol screening prior to hiring. Drug and alcohol testing is random throughout employment as required on certain customer sites.
- May be required to be in confined spaces and elevated heights
