Partner with business, technology teams, and clients to create exceptional digital and analogue user experiences, with support from senior resources.
Use a variety of research methods including field research, usability testing, user interviews, concept testing, surveys, and diary studies.
Proactively identify new opportunities to help define product roadmaps, vision, and strategy.
Develop user testing plans, testing scripts, and recruit participants as needed.
Analyze and synthesize testing data to uncover insights and make actionable design recommendations.
Present research insights to stakeholders, helping guide design and business decisions.
Build and refine repeatable UX research processes for cross-team use.
Lead empathy-driven research with cross-functional teams to ensure findings are translated into actionable product goals.
Participate in the investigation and resolution of complex problems through thoughtful research.
Contribute to UX education by creating content and activities to improve HCD (Human-Centered Design) skills across the organization.
Attend conferences, courses, and other activities to stay current with UX research trends and methodologies.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and development teams to define functional specifications.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working independently in non-routine situations.
Qualifications
Experience:
4-5 years of professional experience in UX research and methods.
Experience working in Financial Services and/or Direct Mail Marketing.
1+ years of experience with Design Thinking methodologies (customer interviews, persona creation, journey mapping, etc.).
Familiarity with WCAG guidelines as stipulated in AODA is a bonus.
Skills:
Proficient in various UX research methods (qualitative & quantitative) and able to apply them to different research contexts.
Strong experience in requirement gathering and data analysis.
Knowledge of Design Thinking methodologies, including persona development and customer journey mapping.
Passion for user experience with a creative and innovative mindset.
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Proven facilitation skills to lead client sessions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Diplomatic, resourceful, and adept at maintaining strong client relationships.
