Your New Company/Role:
As an established boutique Accounting & Tax firm, my client is looking for an experienced and qualified tax and accounting professional to join their growing team as a Senior Tax Accountant or Supervisor. This is a permanent full time opportunity for someone who has at least 4 years and more experience in public firm/business services dealing with tax and accounting services.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

... - Prepare financial reports, Tax Returns for diverse entity structures (Sole traders, Partnerships, Trusts, SMSFs, and companies).
- Manage BAS/IAS/FBT/Group Certificates/Subcontractor reports, etc.
- Reconcile accounts and input year-end journal entries into MYOB, Handisoft, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.
- Ensure timely creation and delivery of financial reports and tax returns to clients
- Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies.
- Provide comprehensive financial and taxation advice on business structures, tax planning, performance, and operations.
- Assist in reviewing jobs completed by other team members.
- Supervise intermediate and junior accountants.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate structures and processes.
- Strong numerical skills and a detailed grasp of taxation laws, accounting standards, regulations, and governance requirements.
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within professional practice and has proven business service/taxation experience. You will also bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Part qualified or fully qualified (CA/CPA/CTA) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 4 years (and above) experience at a public practice firm
- Experience with HandiSoft, XERO, MYOB, Quickbooks
- Solid tax and accounting exposure
- Effective client and job management skills
- Proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a dynamic team
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload and liaise with all stakeholders on jobs
Benefits
- Competitive salary; $80,000 - $100,000 + Super - (based on experience) - can go more for the right candidate
