Randstad C&P are currently recruiting for a Senior Site Manager to work for a reputable and fast-growing Tier 2 contractor known for delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors, including industrial, education, generalist commercial, and residential. The role will be working in a fast-paced environment on a steel-frame scheme. The contractor have secured a number of future projects across several sectors, and are currently looking for a motivated, driven senior site manager to join and become part of the team. Applicants must have worked within the industrial environment previously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the industrial scheme, from initial groundworks to final handover, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team of site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Ensure all site activities comply with HSE regulations, company policies, and industry best practices, promoting a culture of safety-first.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site, using your expertise to mitigate risks and keep the project on track.
- Monitor all work to ensure it meets the required specifications and standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven track record as a Senior Site Manager with at least 6 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably within a variety of sectors, including industrial.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications are essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance.
- In-depth understanding of construction processes, health & safety regulations, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
