Job Description: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying process, from initial feasibility studies through to final account settlement. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in new build housing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and risk assessments.
- Oversee the procurement process, including tendering and contract negotiations.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress, manage variations, and handle claims and disputes.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors within the team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence
