About the Role:

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring cost-effective delivery within agreed budgets.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage the procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiations, and subcontractor management.
- Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on all commercial matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant contracts, including JCT and NEC forms.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and cost implications.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practice procedures for commercial management.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 Main Contractor.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with both JCT and NEC contracts.
- Strong understanding of the pre-construction process, including feasibility studies, tendering, and risk assessment.
- Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software packages, such as cost management systems and BIM.
