Job Opportunity: Senior Project Manager (VPS5) - Land Acquisition.
The Victorian Government is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and manage land acquisition projects for essential educational facilities across Victoria. In this critical role, you will report directly to the Manager and work closely with the Land Acquisition team to ensure the timely and successful delivery of new government buildings.
As Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Victoria’s educational infrastructure while ensuring smooth project execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage land acquisition projects from inception through to successful completion, ensuring alignment with government time-lines and requirements.
- Conduct site suitability investigations and property valuations, ensuring accurate assessments for new developments.
- Negotiate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including landholders, developers, private individuals, government agencies, and local authorities.
- Oversee and facilitate the negotiation and execution of contracts of sale, legal agreements, and compulsory acquisitions.
- Address site-related issues and ensure that all deadlines and policies are adhered to throughout the process.
- Maintain compliance with relevant policies, guidelines, and legislative frameworks to ensure all projects meet regulatory standards.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in land acquisition or property development, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to manage high-value transactions with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and legal frameworks governing land acquisition.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
