Our client, a fast-growing company, engaged in several complex and strategic projects around the world, is looking for a Senior Project Accountant. This key position will allow you to intervene directly in the financial monitoring and performance of large-scale projects, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Job Title: Senior Project Accountant
Location: Montreal (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to 110K depending on experience

Responsibilities
The Senior Project Accountant is responsible for the project's finances in terms of accounting, cost control, budgeting and forecasting according to the company's corporate procedures and policies. He must support the project manager in all financial aspects of the project.
Main responsibilities:
• Monitor the alignment of project revenue and costs
• Participate in the preparation of quarterly forecasts / Annual Business Plans / Project budgets
• Work closely with project managers to estimate work in progress
• Develop performance indicators and perform cost analysis
• Ensure that internal control systems exist and that they are implemented at the various stages of the project according to company standards.
• Work closely with the project manager to ensure that the project manager has relevant information on the progress of the project.
• Develops and maintains information reports for management, such as progress invoicing, analysis of direct costs to contracts, cash flow, currency impact analysis and list of critical suppliers.
• Prepare documentation for internal cost reviews and management meetings
• Support ad hoc requests from different stakeholders
Qualifications
- CPA designation is a significant asset
- Proven leadership skills to deliver results
- Ability to work with a positive attitude and in a professional manner
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
