The successful candidate will manage and govern the Procure-to-Pay activities for Air Canada and plays a key role in the successful interaction between Procurement, internal customers and suppliers. The person in this role will apply a passion for collaboration to obtain the best value for the airline, to improve customer service and to develop mutually beneficial relationships with internal customers and suppliers.

The role will be based at our Montreal Headquarters and will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Procurement Transformation and Centre of Excellence. The Senior Manager, Procurement Operations & P-Cardwill manage the Procurement Operations, Supplier Enablement and P-Card Teams and hold accountability for their related activities.
Key Accountabilities
Deploy Ariba Buying and drive adoption company-wide
- Lead the roll-out of the solution company-wide to enable touchless and paperless Procure-to-Pay transactions
- Establish Guided Buying as the single place to guide all Source-to-Pay activities
- Augment self-service procurement offering (Catalogs, PO-enabled suppliers,…)
- Oversee PR/PO processing activities, procurement needs intake and low value sourcing activities
- Collaborate with the Managers, Supplier Enablement to establish and oversee execution of the change management strategy. Be Ariba ambassador and change agent and drive adoption
- Collaborate with SP Managers and Contract Owners to ensure seamless integration of Source-to-Contract activities with Procure-to-Pay activities
Grow Pcard program
- Establish and oversee execution of strategies to grow the Pcard program and achieve financial benefits
- Manage relationship with Pcard provider and ensure contractual obligations are met
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Manage and develop team
- Manage the Procurement Operations, Supplier Enablement and Pcard teams
- Monitor all resource workloads and re-allocate tasks as needed
- Ensure continuity of the operations by building redundancies, maintaining a knowledge library and cross-training
- Establish high standards of customer service and coach teams
Drive governance for all programs (Ariba Buying, Supplier Enablement, Pcard)
- Drive adoption and ensure compliance for Ariba Buying, Ariba Invoicing, Ariba Network, Guided Buying and the corporate P-Card program company-wide
- Establish a Procure-to-Pay governance program to ensure realization of business case benefits (realized negotiated benefits, reduce savings leakage, increase spend under management, reduce turn-around-time…)
- Frequently measure and communicate metrics, KPIs, baselines, targets and non-compliance to applicable teams and put in place remediation activities
- Ensure controls are in place to ensure Procure-to-Pay and Pcard activities are performed in adherence to the Procurement Policy, Code of Conduct and Delegated Authorities. Always ensure segregation of duties is in place. Collaborate w/ Audit as required
Lead Supplier Enablement Strategy
- Establish supplier qualification and enablement strategies to consolidate Air Canada pool of suppliers
- Promote purchase with preferred suppliers
- Enable occasional suppliers on a Pcard
- Integrate high transaction suppliers
Lead the optimization and digitalization of Procure-to-Pay processes
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Strategic Procurement Managers, Contract Owners and Suppliers to achieve paperless and touchless transactions with Suppliers
- Lead configuration of Ariba Buying to meet corporate needs, manage new releases
- Drive strategy to continuously improve user experience, increase efficiency and drive automation
- Stay abreast of Procure-to-Pay innovations
- Collaborate with the Manager, SP, Procurement Platform to establish and execute on an innovation roadmap

Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field of study (Commerce, Supply chain, Finance) or equivalent combination of training and experience in procurement, contract administration, customer service or supply chain
- 10+ years of functional expertise experience
- 5-10 years experience leading procurement teams
- Ability to establish and execute strategies, exercise independent problem solving and decision making
- Experience working under pressure and in a fast-paced work environment
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as needed to achieve departmental goals
- Demonstrated customer focus aptitude and ability to influence and break down silos within and across organization
- Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills
- Given this role supports the Operations, be reachable outside of business hours
