Job Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as the local expert within the Malaysian team and provide technical guidance to junior members of the Data Operations team. The role involves working closely with the US-based Research team to ensure consistent methodologies across various accounting-related data collection procedures.

... - SEC Reporting Analysis: Utilize specialized knowledge of SEC accounting regulations to categorize data according to appropriate reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and SEC requirements.
- Training and Mentoring: Mentor and train junior team members to enhance their understanding of SEC/IFRS accounting regulations, especially in relation to data entry into Audit Analytics proprietary databases.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on entered data to identify and correct discrepancies promptly. Collaborate on the development and implementation of data quality control measures to improve financial reporting accuracy.
- Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of evolving SEC accounting regulations, reporting requirements, and industry best practices. Seek opportunities for professional development to strengthen expertise in SEC regulations.
- Data Entry and Verification: Accurately enter financial data such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and footnotes into relevant databases or systems. Verify data accuracy through careful review and cross-referencing with source documents.
Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong focus on data entry and quality assurance.
- Technical Expertise: Proven understanding of SEC accounting regulations, reporting standards, and disclosure requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to data accuracy and the ability to identify discrepancies efficiently.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
