Role - Senior Facade Quantity Surveyor
Location - Uxbridge
Senior Surveyor for Facades company to carry out surveying duties and functions on a range of projects, including high end residential, high-quality hotels, student accommodation, offices, hospitals etc as well as traditional residential and commercial developments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings for secured projects and manage all relevant cost information.
- Develop contract budgets from tender information, calculating total profit/loss forecasts.
- Perform monthly budget reviews and update budgets for ongoing projects.
- Provide interim cost and value reconciliations and monitor cash flows for projects using Oracle.
- Prepare and agree on interim Applications for Payment and Final Accounts, covering all aspects of measurement.
- Manage the procurement of subcontractors, including rate agreements, measurements, and subcontract order placements.
- Prepare and compile subcontract documentation with appropriate orders.
- Implement payment controls for subcontractors, evaluate contract works, variations, materials, contra charges, and claims.
- Document confirmed verbal instructions that impact cost and/or time to ensure recovery.
- Handle miscellaneous procedures, including issuing notices to subcontractors for payment, general correspondence, and office administration.
- Maintain detailed records of site progress, including photographs, written records, marked-up drawings, and data collection, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Track progress, report delays, issue Notices of Delay to clients, and prepare and submit prolongation costs for payment.
- Liaise and coordinate with all business unit departments to enhance communication and support company objectives.
Key Attributes:
- Proven managerial experience, overseeing commercial staff across multiple locations.
- Expertise in BMS and related commercial procedures, including cost reporting.
- Solid understanding of JCT and industry-standard contracts
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with PLC policies and procedures regarding BMS, quality, and employment.
