Randstad C&P are seeking a Senior Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex and high-profile highways schemes in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with experience in civil engineering and highways projects to join a prestigious contractor and contribute to major infrastructure improvements, with more local works to follow this one.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring efficient delivery of highways schemes to programme, budget, and quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
- Support the Site Agent in planning and programming works, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working on highways or large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally within a Tier One contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of highways construction processes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage site teams.
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management (HNC/HND/BEng or equivalent).
- Valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification and CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
