Outline of the Role:
Supports Product Manager on functional requirements with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain.
Engages with solution architects and engineers to design and configure solutions.
Leads design discussions with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain.
Has keen sense of ownership with the ability to drive clarity in complex and ambiguous scenarios.
Proficient with systems-thinking and able to articulate them to various groups across the organization.
Owns making configuration within the selected platforms.
Provides technical oversight and guides teams to resolve complex and severe technical issues.
Supports one or more moderately to complex business processes.
Champions best practices around data standards, policies, and procedures.
Serves as a team member, sometimes as a technical lead, sometimes as a business analyst.
Leads end-to-end testing as a SME and supports business stakeholders during UAT.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRD), inclusive of actionable business, functional, non-functional, and user requirements for development teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements, particularly in the context of predictive costing tools and IMU (Initial Markup) calculations.
Partner with the engineers to support the integration of Predictive Style and Optimizer APIs into the Pre-Costing tool.
Coordinate workflows for data integration, including Kafka topics for styles and BoM (Bill of Materials) updates.
Define and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts, including validation of predictive and optimization outcomes.
Collaborate on creating documentation to end-users on application functionalities.
Coordinate software releases and post-deployment validations in partnership with internal and external teams.
Support production issues related to application functionality, integrations, and day-to-day reporting needs.
Manage relationships with external consultants, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet business needs.
Drive strategic initiatives to fulfil organizational values and contribute to overall project success
Qualifications
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements:
Education: Min. Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
7+ years as Systems or Business Analyst; 9+ years in IT; Experience with SaaS implementation.
Proven experience with large-scale systems/application implementation.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
Excellent system mapping tools like Visio, Draw.io.
Exceptional spoken and written communication skills, including technical and non-technical documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data modeling and predictive analytics.
Proven experience managing data warehouses and ETL pipelines (min. 3 years).
Expertise in SQL scripting (Oracle/SQL Server) for analysis and reporting.
Solid hands-on experience in functional testing, including test case development and execution.
Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure).
Desired familiarity with DevOps practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
Preferred Skills:
Must-have experience with analytical tools: Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI.
Retail / Upstream Supply Chian experience is a plus.
Experience with predictive analytics tools and cost optimization strategies.
Familiarity with the Product Lifecycle and its implications on costing.
Ability to bridge technical and business perspectives to ensure alignment.
Knowledge of integration flows like FlexPLM and Global Line Plans.
