As a Senior Risk Analyst on the team working closely with Risk Managers & Senior Risk Managers, this role provides support to prevent unacceptable credit risk to improve credit portfolio quality, and to maximise the bank’s reputation for corporate responsibility.

Responsibilities:
- Analyse and report on key trends in collections portfolio performance, with a high focus on risk management.
- Provide insights on portfolio trends and accurately predicting future delinquencies and bad debt losses.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to offer timely help with credit risk, late payments, collection strategies, and issues with decision-making systems.
- Contribute to the strategies for managing risk in collections and recoveries.
- Participate in business development and risk-related projects.
- Develop, implement, and track effective credit policies. Make sure these are clearly communicated to business stakeholders.
- Assist in managing relationships with external parties like Insolvency and Trustee Service Australia, ASIC, and the Privacy Commissioner, as they relate to collections and recoveries.
Requirements:
- Strong SAS, SQL programming and Excel skills are essential. Tableau is highly desirable.
- Proficient with data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
- Some understanding of consumer banking products, credit risk lifecycle, delinquency monitoring/reporting, credit scoring, behavioural scoring, scorecard development and monitoring, credit risk decisioning system.
- Risk management and credit policy experience highly desirable.
