Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting students aged 11-19 with a variety of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties. Key Responsibilities:
Learning Support:
Work closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
Personalised Assistance:
Provide one-on-one or small group support, focusing on each student's individual sensory and communication needs.
Build Strong Connections:
Develop trusting and supportive relationships with students to ensure they feel safe and included.
Encourage Positive Behaviour:
Use creative techniques to promote positive behaviour, adapting to each student's unique needs.
Assist with Personal Care:
Support students with personal care tasks when needed, always respecting their dignity and privacy.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
- A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not required).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - required.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- A flexible, creative approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
