Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We're looking for committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, working with students aged 11-19 who have complex needs, such as autism, learning disabilities, and communication challenges. Your Key Responsibilities:
Support Learning:
Collaborate with teachers to foster a supportive, engaging learning environment.
Tailored Support:
Provide individualised or small-group assistance, focusing on each student's sensory and communication needs.
Build Strong Relationships:
Develop trusting connections with students to help them feel safe and included.
Encourage Positive Behaviour:
Use creative strategies to promote positive behaviour, adjusting your methods to suit each student's needs.
Assist with Personal Care:
Offer personal care when needed, always maintaining respect and dignity for students.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
- Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - required.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Flexible, creative approach to meeting individual learning needs.
