About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. Your role involves assisting teachers in classroom activities and guiding students through practical, outdoor sessions like Bushcraft and life skills. You'll play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic, social, and personal milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Assist students in meeting their Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) goals.
- Implement and reinforce positive behaviour strategies adapted to individual needs.
- Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety issues.
- Encourage positive social interactions and collaboration among students.

- Have basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are preferred but not essential.
