Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, such as Autism. You'll provide classroom support and engage students in outdoor activities like Bushcraft and life skills. Your role is key to helping them achieve both their academic and personal development goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer tailored support while ensuring students' safety and well-being.
- Assist students in working towards their Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) targets.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies that suit individual student needs.
- Keep detailed records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety concerns.
- Promote social interaction and teamwork among students.

- Be passionate about supporting young people's development and education.
- Have patience and the ability to manage challenging behaviours in a caring, supportive way.
- Be creative and proactive in solving challenges.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Possess basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are desirable but not required.
