A nurturing and specialist SEN school in Peterborough is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with a diverse range of learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with individual students and small groups, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assisting with personal care needs (as required) and promoting independence.
- Implementing tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment that fosters engagement and progress.
- Communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a cohesive learning experience.

Essential Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
