Are you passionate about helping young people with special educational needs thrive? We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting students aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties. Your Responsibilities:
Support Learning and Development:
Work alongside teachers to create an encouraging and engaging learning environment for students.
Tailored Assistance:
Provide one-to-one or small group support, focusing on the individual sensory and communication needs of each student.
Build Positive Relationships:
Form trusting and supportive connections with students, ensuring they feel safe and included.
Promote Positive Behaviour:
Use creative strategies to encourage positive behaviour, adapting your approach to meet each student's needs.
Assist with Personal Care:
Offer personal care when required, maintaining the dignity and respect of each student.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
- A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - essential.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- A flexible and creative approach to supporting individual learning needs.
