A wonderful Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Lowestoft is urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supply SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join their team and make a real impact.
About the Role:
As a Supply SEN TA / LSA, you will provide essential support to students with a diverse range of learning needs, helping them to access a fulfilling and engaging educational experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with individual students and small groups, both inside and outside the classroom, to support their learning and development.
- Assisting with personal care needs (as required), promoting independence, and encouraging social interaction.
- Implementing tailored learning activities designed by teachers, adapting your approach to meet individual student needs.
- Creating a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported.
About You:
- You have a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and a belief that every child can succeed.
- You are patient, understanding, and empathetic, with a positive and encouraging demeanour.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
