The Role :
We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to work at a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) School based in King's Lynn. This is a full-time, immediate start position, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with a variety of additional learning needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEN, adapting resources and activities to meet their specific learning needs. You will implement behaviour management strategies to support students with emotional or behavioural challenges. If you have patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially, this is the best place for you!

Your Responsibilities:
- Tailor support to address the unique learning requirements of students with SEN.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Assist in maintaining classroom order, fostering a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
- Establish effective communication with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the academic and social progress of students with SEN.
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Caring and empathetic personality.
- Commitment to safeguarding children.
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
