About the Role:
This rewarding full-time position involves working one-to-one and in small groups with children with a range of special educational needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated personal care support with sensitivity and respect, enabling students to participate fully in school life.
- Implementing tailored learning activities designed by teachers to meet individual student needs and goals.
- Creating a positive and nurturing learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported.
- Building strong and trusting relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and communication styles.
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to each child's development.
About You:
- You have proven experience providing personal care support to children with sensitivity and discretion.
- You possess a deep understanding of the needs of children with SEN, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- You are a proactive and adaptable team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You have a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with special needs.
- You should have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply)
