The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support to ensure they can fully participate in the curriculum and school life. You will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support for students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum, adapting lessons as needed.
- Support students with behavioral management and emotional development.
- Help track and monitor student progress, contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to student support.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children with varying needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in education.
