We are recruiting an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 1-2) to support students aged 10-19 with complex needs such as Autism and Asperger's Syndrome in Darwen. Join our dedicated team to help students thrive in both academic and personal development.
Role Summary:
You will assist in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual needs, while supporting behaviour management and ensuring the well-being of students. Collaboration with the class teacher is key in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, delivering, and assessing lessons.
- Monitor and report on student progress.
- Support students with managing behaviour.
- Keep accurate records of student growth.
- Encourage students' academic and emotional development.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with SEN students.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for transporting students).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above).
- Level 2 qualification in Teaching and Learning Support (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and dedication to students.
