We are hiring an SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 1-2) in Darwen to work with students aged 10-19 who have complex needs, including Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Your role will help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.
Role Summary:
You will assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the diverse needs of students. Managing behaviour and supporting the emotional and academic development of students is key to this role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities.
- Provide feedback on student progress and achievements.
- Help students focus and manage behaviour.
- Maintain accurate records of student development.
- Promote the holistic growth of each student.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with SEN students.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for transporting students).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above).
- Level 2 or higher in Teaching and Learning Support (preferred).
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Positive, adaptable attitude and dedication to student success.
