We are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 1-2) to join our school in Darwen. You will work with students aged 10-19 with complex needs such as Autism and Asperger's Syndrome, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Role Summary:
In this role, you will assist the class teacher in creating lessons that meet the individual needs of students. You will also play a key role in managing student behaviour and fostering a positive, supportive environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating educational activities.
- Provide feedback on students' progress.
- Support students in managing behaviour and staying focused.
- Keep accurate records of student development.
- Encourage academic and emotional growth.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with SEN children.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for transporting students.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above).
- Level 2 qualification in Teaching and Learning Support (preferred).
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
