About the Role:
Our school in Stoke Gifford is looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. This full-time, permanent role focuses on supporting students with special educational needs, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. You'll work closely with students, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other diverse needs, providing essential support and encouragement.
Responsibilities:
- Offer individual and small-group assistance to SEN students, ensuring inclusive access to learning.
- Implement IEPs and support positive behaviour management strategies.
- Adapt curriculum activities to meet varied needs, making learning accessible.
- Track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
- Experience: SEN experience is helpful, but a commitment to supporting SEN students is key.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability, and patience.
- Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English proficiency is preferred.
