Your Role:
As a Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will be at the heart of the students' academic and personal growth. Your role is more than just supporting learning; it's about creating a vibrant, safe, and inspiring environment where every student can thrive. You'll work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and personalised learning experiences, using your expertise to help each child succeed.
What You'll Do:
- Champion student well-being, safeguarding, and inclusion, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement dynamic learning activities that make education both fun and impactful.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, fostering a sense of belonging and enthusiasm for learning.
- Guide students through their educational journey, offering extra help and encouragement to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Partner with teachers to gather evidence of student progress, helping to shape future teaching strategies.
- Participate in evaluating learning outcomes and offering feedback to help students grow.
- Assist in the comprehensive monitoring, assessment, and reporting of student progress, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Who They're Looking For:
They're seeking a passionate and qualified individual with:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
- GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above)
- A deep understanding of SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Expertise in managing diverse and challenging behaviours
- Experience in an educational setting, ideally within a multicultural, inclusive environment
