We are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 1-2) to join our team in Darwen, supporting students aged 10-19 with complex needs, including Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and other related conditions.
Role Summary:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students' academic and personal growth by working closely with the class teacher to create lessons tailored to individual needs. You will also promote positive behaviour and student well-being.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, delivering, and evaluating learning activities.
- Provide feedback on student progress and development.
- Help students focus and manage their behaviour effectively.
- Maintain records of student progress in line with school policies.
- Promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required for transporting students).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - essential.
- Level 2 or higher qualification in Teaching and Learning Support (preferred).
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Positive attitude and commitment to supporting student success.
