A school with excellent facilities, a Primary school in Bolton is seeking to hire a Level 3 SEN teaching assistant on a long-term contract basis to give their children life-changing support. If you are interested in building upon your teaching support skills and to gain experience in a wide range of teaching methods, aids, and approaches. Through 1:1 support for children with a range of additional needs, such as those with lower literacy levels, English as a second language, and Special Education Needs, you will have the chance to increase academic achievement.
Are you an experienced teaching assistant seeking an unique experience? Professionals with experience who can contribute their knowledge to this school are actively sought after for this position.
Your duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant will include:
- Assist in carrying out educational strategies that are appropriate for each child's learning goals.
- Develop a connection of trust with every child and speak to them in terms they can understand.
- Encourage diversity, acceptance, and inclusion, and make sure all the children have equal access to learning and growth.
- Encourage children's involvement and make sure they are paying attention during the lesson.
- Provide opportunities for developing independence.
- Give children, parents, and caregivers feedback about their development, accomplishments, and potential issues as directed by the teaching team.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of the national curriculum
- Experience working with KS1/2 pupils
- A drive to inspire the next generation
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
