Key Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant Experience in teaching
- Deliver and develop a curriculum that meets the educational, physical, and social needs of students.
- Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Create and implement lesson plans that cater to short, medium, and long-term educational goals.
- Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets.
- Assess, review, and communicate student progress to parents, team members, senior staff, and relevant bodies.
- Participate in the review of Statements, EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
- Structure lessons to ensure pace, motivation, and challenge.
- Stay updated on autism-related issues to plan effective teaching strategies.
- Address individual student needs with a non-confrontational approach.
Requirements:
- PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Ability to teach English up to GCSE level.
- Experience working with pupils with ASD, SEMH, and PDA profiles.
- Strong understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- Experience in managing a range of behavioural approaches, including challenging behaviours.
