Are you passionate about helping young people with special educational needs? We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students aged 11-19 with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication challenges. Key Responsibilities:
Learning Support:
Work closely with teachers to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Personalised Assistance:
Provide one-on-one or small group support, tailored to meet each student's sensory and communication needs.
Build Strong Relationships:
Form supportive and trusting relationships, helping students feel safe, valued, and included.
Encourage Positive Behaviour:
Use creative methods to promote positive behaviour, adjusting strategies to fit the needs of each student.
Provide Personal Care:
Assist with personal care when required, always upholding the dignity and privacy of students.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
- A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - essential.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- A flexible, creative approach to addressing individual learning needs.
