Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work with students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. You'll collaborate with a skilled teaching team to support students in the classroom and through engaging outdoor activities like Bushcraft and life skills. Your contribution will be vital in helping students grow academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support while ensuring students' safety and well-being.
- Help students achieve the targets in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
- Implement positive behaviour management strategies tailored to each student's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety issues.
- Promote positive social interactions and teamwork among students.

- Be patient and skilled at managing challenging behaviours.

- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are desirable but not required.
