We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Teacher to become part of a committed team in a Special School in Tadworth, Surrey. This position is paid to scale and demands experience with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and managing severe challenging behaviour.

As a Teacher, you will be instrumental in crafting meaningful learning experiences for these pupils. Your skills in supporting and guiding children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour will be essential in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and inspire pupils, creating a supportive and encouraging educational setting.
- Implement high-quality teaching and learning practices tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to offer comprehensive pupil support.
- Set and uphold high expectations for all pupils, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to achieve their potential.

- An outstanding practitioner with high expectations for all pupils.
- Passionate about child-centred education.
- Strong in organisational and communication skills, and enjoys working within a team.
- Ideally, experienced in working with young people who have SEMH and challenging behaviour.
- Committed to fostering an inclusive environment and ensuring equal opportunities for all pupils.
Criteria for the Role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching and supporting pupils with special needs and challenging behaviour.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- A solid educational background across various subjects.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and relevant learning programs.
- Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
