We are thrilled to invite a dedicated and innovative Design Technology Technician to join our team in Preston! This position offers the opportunity to engage with KS3 and KS4 students, guiding them in exploring their creativity and developing essential practical skills. You will receive a competitive daily pay rate based on your qualifications, experience, and approach to teaching.
In this role, you will prepare and maintain resources, equipment, and materials for practical lessons, ensuring health and safety standards are met. You will work with teachers to create engaging learning experiences that inspire students creativity and technical skills. Additionally, you'll assist in developing lesson plans and support students during practical sessions, encouraging them to explore various design and technology concepts.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain materials and equipment for lessons.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist teachers during practical sessions.
- Punctual and reliable
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage.
- Work closely with teaching staff to enhance learning.
- Stay updated on new technologies and methods.
- Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
- Respond to questioning
