Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee engineering activities for a designated section of the HS2 project.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with technical specifications, project plans, and relevant standards.
- Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and technical teams to resolve issues and drive the progress of works.
- Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and construction phase plans.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety standards, ensuring compliance with HS2 guidelines and health & safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and site staff.
- Conduct regular inspections, surveys, and quality checks to ensure engineering excellence.
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of materials in line with project timelines.
- Report on progress to senior management and attend project meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in a Section Engineer or Site Engineer role, ideally on large-scale infrastructure or rail projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, design, and engineering practices.
- Knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation and procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage site teams effectively.
- Proficient in using engineering software (AutoCAD, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
- CSCS card holder
- Driving license and acces to a car
