As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate and support the Scrum process, ensuring the team adheres to Agile principles and Scrum practices. You will act as a servant leader to the team, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, self-organisation and accountability. The goal is to ensure successful delivery of products by managing and optimising the flow of work, removing impediments and guiding the team to achieve their highest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
- Assist the Product Owner in managing the backlog, ensuring it is refined, prioritised and ready for the upcoming sprint.
- Facilitate effective communication between the Product Owner and the development team.
- Coach the team in self-organisation and cross-functionality.
- Help the team to create high-value products by removing obstacles to progress.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Advocate for Agile principles and Scrum practices within the team and the organisation.
- Lead by example, embodying Agile values and principles.
- Encourage experimentation and innovation within the team.
- Identify and eliminate roadblocks that hinder the team’s progress.
- Ensure a healthy, efficient, and effective working environment.
- Track and report on key Agile metrics, such as team velocity and sprint progress.
- Analyse and address areas for improvement in both the process and the team’s performance.
- Engage with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and gather feedback.
- Ensure alignment between the team’s work and stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification preferred.
