The Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, ensuring they develop both a strong understanding of scientific concepts and a passion for discovery. You will be working closely with colleagues to adapt and differentiate the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each pupil, ensuring that all students can achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering creative, stimulating lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEN, and implementing strategies that promote inclusion and accessibility.
- Preparing pupils for GCSE exams and ensuring they are confident in both practical and theoretical aspects of science.
- Maintaining a positive, calm, and encouraging learning environment to motivate students in their studies.
Who we're looking for:
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher who can bring science to life for our students. You'll have a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, with a creative and engaging approach that ensures all students are supported and inspired.
Essential requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4
- A genuine interest in working with students with SEN and complex needs
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Desirable:
- Experience working in a specialist or SEN setting
- A track record of helping students achieve great academic results in science
