We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Bradford on a long-term basis, starting in November. This is an exciting opportunity to teach students across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to focus on your specialist subject within the sciences.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Science or a related subject.
- Ability to teach across the Science curriculum, with expertise in either Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Experience teaching in a secondary setting, with a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Science.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, with a passion for helping students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging science lessons that cater to students of varying abilities.
- Inspire and motivate students in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics to achieve their academic potential.
- Create a positive learning environment, ensuring behaviour is well-managed and students feel supported.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid their development.
- Work collaboratively with the Science department to develop schemes of work and resources.
- Take part in wider school activities, such as parent evenings, departmental meetings, and extracurricular science clubs.
