We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team in Pontefract, starting in September and running through October, with the potential for extension.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE with a specialism in Science.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
- Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level.
- A passion for science education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons across key stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire and challenge students to develop their scientific knowledge and practical skills.
- Plan and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Assess, record, and report on student's progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the extracurricular science activities and support the school's science department in various projects and events.
