About the Role:
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science to join our school in Leigh-on-Sea. The school was recently graded 'Good' by OFSTED. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science to students at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). This is a full-time position starting in September 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Assess, record, and report on students' progress, development, and attainment.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
