We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our team in Bradford. You'll be the first point of contact at our secondary school, ensuring that every interaction reflects our school's commitment to excellence.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a reception, administrative, or customer service role, ideally in a school or college setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level), experience with telephony switchboards and computerised administration systems.
- Education: Good general education at GCSE level or equivalent, with strong IT and word processing skills.
- Key Skills: Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Management: Greet and assist visitors, staff, and students; manage visitor sign-ins and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Telephone and Email Communication: Handle calls and emails, directing inquiries efficiently to the appropriate department or individual.
- Administration: Manage the reception mailbox, diary for visitor bookings, and student absence records; support the Exams Office by logging exam materials.
- Student and Staff Support: Distribute and manage temporary lanyards, manage lost property, and assist with room bookings for meetings and events.
- First Aid and Emergencies: Triage First Aid calls, coordinate with first responders, and assist with fire evacuation procedures.
- Finance Support: Receive and log incoming parcels, check delivery notes, and assist with Student Bursary applications.
