Skills/Qualifications:
● A university degree or equivalent, preferably a PhD or similar research experience in the field of materials science, metallurgy, electron microscopy, nanotechnology, physics, chemistry, engineering or similar
● A passion for electron microscopy and materials science
● Be a fast learner willing to tackle new challenges in a sales environment.
● Energy and a "can do" mind-set.
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (primarily in Japanese and English) including the ability to explain technical concepts and applications clearly to a range of audiences, to gain trust, to influence and persuade others, to present at conferences, and to work well in teams.
● Ability to achieve results and work to agreed timelines.
● Good judgement and decision-making skills.
● Enthusiasm to work within a diverse, cross-functional, international team
● A high level of integrity and a desire to improve customer outcomes
● Willing to travel up to 60%, mainly within the APAC region
